5K Road Raffle Drawing

The Burlington Education Foundation's 6th annual 5K Road Race Raffle will be drawn on Sunday, May 23rd, 11:00AM on Race Day. The prizes are as follows:

$1000 Elegant Dinner and Wine Pairing for 6 at the Capital Grille

$400 Weekend Family Memberships at the Swim and Tennis Club

2 Red Sox Tickets from Axial Financial

$5.00 per chance, $10.00 for 3 chances

The Results Are In!

...And the winner of the 2010 Burlington Education Foundation t-shirt design contest is none other than Samantha Bressi for her fantastic logo displayed on the right (click to enlarge). Each contest entry was from one of Mr. George Ratkovich's graphic design students, as their midyear exam. Allowing the students this kind of opportunity is another example of what the Burlington Education Foundation strives for.

Join Us at BEF's Grant Showcase

Big News!

This event will take place on Monday, May 3, 2010 at 3:30 PM in the Lower Library of the Burlington High School. You and your family members will be able to take a peek at a few grants – in – action like Starlab, while enjoying light refreshments.

Several grant recipients will be introduced to you in acknowledgment of their hard work and dedication, in the company of the Board of Directors, Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Eric Conti and other invited guests. As an integral part to the success of the BEF, your input and feedback is valuable as we review our mission and outline our goals for the upcoming year.

"Exercise for Education" 5K Road Race & Family Fun Run Sunday, May 23, 2010 8:00 am - 11:00 am

Registration begins at 8:00 am with live music compliments of The Real School of Music. Participants and spectators can take advantage of Sports and Chair massages on-site provided by Zen-Muscular Therapy & Wellness Center and Elements Therapeutic Massage. Enjoy local area restaurant samples provided by Lester's Roadside BBQ and Cabot Cheese to name a few. Kids enjoy a Moon Bounce and popcorn provided by Party Central. Mix 104.1 station van joins us on-site handing out prizes and giveaways!

Bring your old gold or silver and trade it in for Cash with Lucky Karat. Buy new Jewelry from Lia Sophia. Show your spirit with merchandise from Perfect Promotions.

The 1/2 mile Family Fun Run begins at 9:00 am. It is a loop around the high school and is only $2.00 and includes a race bag! Prizes are given to top three male and females to finish.

The USATF certified 5k race for runners or walkers begins at 9:30. Prizes are awarded to the top male and female finishers, top male and female finishers from Burlington and top finishers in each age category. 5K Participants that pre-register are guaranteed a t-shirt &fun-filled race bags with many samples from our generous sponsors.

Road Race Volunteer Positions are Available!

That time of the year when the flowers bloom and the BEF holds it's Annual 5K Road Raceis fast approaching! There's much to do and volunteer positions are available. Whether you're a student of the high school or the parent of a participant, you too can help us. Just visit the volunteer page and find out how you can help! The Road Race is scheduled for Sunday May 23rd.

The Burlington Education Foundation is a non-profit organization that promotes community support for education excellence in the Burlington Public Schools. The BEF's Mission is to channel donations from businesses and individuals to provide Burlington educators with an additional source of funding for creative and innovative curriculum enrichment programs.
